Cinnamon French Toast topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 4 tbsp (60 g) butter
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 slices challah, brioches or white bread
- 0.5 cup maple syrup, warm
Preparation:
- In a small bowl, combine cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar and set aside.
- In a 25cm or 30cm frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk together the cinnamon mixture, eggs, milk, and vanilla and pour into a shallow dish, such as a pie plate. Dip the bread slices in the egg mixture. Fry the slices until golden brown, then flip and fry the other side. Serve with syrup.
