Homemade Ranch Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 0.5 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 tbsp. store-bought or homemade mayonnaise
  • 1/4–1/3 cup buttermilk or kefir, plus more as needed
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley leaves
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 green onion, trimmed and finely chopped

Preparation:

  1. Sprinkle the garlic with salt and use a kitchen knife to mash it into a paste.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine garlic paste, mayonnaise, 1/4 cup buttermilk, chives, parsley, vinegar, green onions, and pepper to taste. If the sauce is too thick, thin it with buttermilk. Use immediately or store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 3 days..
