topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 300 ml of milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 125 g flour + 1 more tbsp.
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • 8 large pork sausages
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 thinly sliced onions
  • 300 ml beef broth
  • Fresh thyme for serving

Preparation:

  1. Mix milk, eggs, flour, and a pinch of salt to form a runny dough. Refrigerate it for 1-2 hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Place the sausages in a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes. Drain the fat from the dish, reserving about 2 tablespoons, and pour the batter over the sausages. Bake for 30-35 minutes (the batter should rise and brown).
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the onion until golden brown, 4-6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add flour, broth, salt, and pepper, bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the sausages with thyme and serve with the onion sauce.
