Grilled broccoli

topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 2 large heads of broccoli, split lengthwise
  • 0.5 cups olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp. dry marinade
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped

Preparation:

  1. In a large saucepan, fill with water, add salt, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli and blanch until bright green, then transfer to a large bowl of ice water to quickly stop the cooking. Drain and pat dry with paper towels. Place the broccoli in a large zip-lock plastic bag.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, red pepper flakes, dry rub, white wine vinegar, salt, black pepper, and garlic. Pour the mixture over the broccoli and seal the bag. Let marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  4. Remove the broccoli from the bag, letting any excess marinade drip back into the bag. Place the florets on the grill and grill until lightly tender and golden brown, about 4 minutes. Transfer the broccoli from the grill to a serving platter and serve.
