Fresh fruit salad with mint topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 papaya or mango
- 1 cup strawberries
- 2 kiwis
- 1 banana
- 2 oranges brought
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tbsp Grand Marnier liqueur, optional
- 3-5 sprigs of fresh mint
- 1 cup raspberries or blueberries
Preparation:
- Peel the mango or papaya, dice it, and place it in a medium bowl. Remove the stems from the strawberries and cut them in half or, if large, into quarters. Add them to the bowl with the fruit. Peel and dice the kiwi and add them to the bowl. Peel and dice the bananas and add them to the bowl.
- Cut the top and bottom off the oranges deep enough to expose the pulp. Peel the oranges, removing the rinds and membranes, holding them over a bowl. Let them fall into the bowl as they peel. Use your hands to squeeze all the juice out of the remaining membrane above the fruit, then toss. Repeat with the other orange.
- Stir honey and liqueur, if using, into the fruit salad. Remove the mint leaves from the stems, tear or chop them into small pieces, and toss them into the fruit salad. Add the berries and let steep for 10 minutes or 2 hours.
Serve.
