Chocolate mousse with marshmallows

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 255 g semi-sweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup hot water (from a recently boiled kettle)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation:

  1. Place marshmallows, butter, chocolate and water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.

    Place the pan on the stovetop over very low heat until the ingredients melt, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
  2. Meanwhile, beat the cream with vanilla until it thickens, then mix it with the cooled chocolate mixture until you get a smooth, viscous cream.

    Pour the mixture into 4-6 glasses or small bowls and chill before serving. The sooner the better!
