Virgin Mary Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 3 stalks celery, including leaves, plus extra for serving
  • 2 tsp prepared horseradish
  • 1 tsp chopped shallots
  • Juice of two limes
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 drops of Tabasco sauce, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1 bottle (1 liter) tomato juice

Preparation:

  1. Chop the celery into large cubes and place in the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade. Add the horseradish, shallot, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, celery salt, and coarse salt and process until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a large pitcher, add the tomato juice, and stir. Pour into glasses and serve, garnished with a celery stalk and leaves.
