topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 6 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 0.5 cups premium flour
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • Seasoned salt
  • Black pepper
  • Rapeseed oil (canola) for frying

Preparation:

  1. Boil the potatoes in boiling water until tender. Then press them through a potato masher and mash with a fork or potato masher to create a puree.
  2. Add flour, egg, a little seasoning salt and pepper and mix.
  3. Form into balls, then flatten them slightly to form discs. Let them cool completely. Heat a little canola oil in a cast-iron skillet and fry the tater tots until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  4. You can freeze Tater Tots after frying. If needed, remove from the freezer and reheat in the oven at 200°C for 10-12 minutes.
