Ingredients:
Wings
- 450 g chicken wings, cut in half (discard the tips)
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
Asian sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tsp lime zest
- 3 tbsp lime juice (1 lime)
- 1/4 cup orange juice from half an orange
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon chili garlic paste
- 0.5 tsp. sesame oil
- 0.5 tsp dried oregano
- 0.5 tsp ground cumin
- 0.5 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Season the wings with salt and pepper. Place the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Remove the wings from the oven to a bowl and let them cool. Cover and refrigerate until ready to grill outdoors.
- Asian sauce:
Combine all ingredients in a 4-quart zip-lock plastic bag.
- Preheat the grill to 350°F (175°C) over indirect heat. Add all the wings and grill for 10-15 minutes, turning them over after 7 minutes to ensure they are heated through and have grill marks. Remove the wings from the grill to a serving bowl. Add the sauce and toss to combine.
