Ingredients:
- 2 cups blueberries
- 3 tablespoons sambal-olek paste
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons non-alcoholic apple cider
- 1 plum tomato, cut into pieces (seeds removed)
Preparation:
- In a saucepan, combine the blueberries, sambal, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider, and tomatoes. Cook over medium heat, mashing the berries and tomatoes, until the liquid begins to thicken, about 10 minutes.
- Simmer the sauce at a low simmer, reducing the heat further if desired. Taste and add salt if necessary.
