Ingredients:
- 1 package (400 g) of cabbage and carrot coleslaw mix
- Half a small onion
- 2 tbsp. l. + 2 tsp. Sahara
- 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/8 tsp mustard powder
- A pinch of paprika
Preparation:
- Working with half the mixture at a time, cut the salad mixture into 1/4-inch pieces (about the width of a carrot). Transfer to a large bowl. Chop enough onion into 1/4-inch pieces to make 1/4 cup. Transfer to a fine-mesh sieve and rinse under cold water for 1 minute to soften the flavor. Gently drain the onion on paper towels, then add to the salad mixture.
- In a 0.5-liter jar or other container with a tight-fitting lid, mix the sugar with 3 tablespoons of water until the sugar dissolves slightly.
- Add mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard powder, paprika, and 0.5 teaspoon salt, cover, and shake vigorously until smooth. Add the dressing to the salad and let it sit for 10 minutes, tossing several times. Add more salt if needed. The coleslaw can be covered and refrigerated until tomorrow.
