Hot sandwich with cheese and lemon

Ingredients:

  • Half a lemon, sliced ​​into very thin circles with a sharp knife
  • 0.5 tsp sugar
  • 8 thin slices of white bread
  • 220 g fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 0.5 tbsp. freshly grated parmesan

Preparation:

  1. Cut each lemon circle into 6 wedges. Sprinkle with sugar and set aside.
  2. Place 4 slices of bread. Top each slice with 2 thin slices of mozzarella, then a few lemon wedges, then another slice of mozzarella. Top with the remaining bread. Spread half the butter on the top slices of bread and sprinkle each sandwich with 1 tablespoon of Parmesan.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches, Parmesan side down, in the skillet. Spread the remaining butter on the bread and sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon of Parmesan.
  4. Cover the pan and cook until the bread and Parmesan are golden brown, about 2 minutes. Flip the sandwiches over and cook until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Serve hot.
