Ingredients:
- 2 ripe, firm red plums
- 0.5 cups of sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 limes, diced (remove seeds)
- 1 cup cachaça
Preparation:
- Halve the plums and remove the pits. Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Add the plums and simmer over medium heat until soft but not mushy, about 10 minutes. Let the plums cool in the liquid.
- Thinly slice half a plum for garnish and set aside.
- Place the diced limes and remaining plums in a large pitcher. Mash thoroughly with a muddler or potato masher. Add the cachaça and plum water and top with ice cubes. Pour the cocktail into chilled whiskey glasses, making sure to get some fruit and ice in each glass. Garnish each glass with a plum slice.
