3-Ingredient Nutella Donuts

topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread, such as Nutella
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups premium flour

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup Nutella and 3 eggs until smooth. Stir in the flour until smooth. Turn the dough out onto a generously floured surface and roll it out into a 6x8-inch rectangle. Using a 3-inch round cutter, cut out 6 doughnuts from the dough, gathering any scraps and re-rolling as needed. Using a 1-inch cutter, cut a hole in the center of each circle, then place the doughnuts and cut-out pieces on the prepared baking sheet. Whisk the remaining egg in a small bowl with 1 tablespoon of water. Brush the surface of the dough with the egg mixture.
  3. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of a donut comes out clean, about 10 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely, about 15 minutes. Microwave the remaining 1/4 cup Nutella spread until just runny, about 30 seconds. Dip the donut tops and cut-out pieces in Nutella. Place coated-side up on a wire rack and let cool, about 15 minutes.
