Burgers with sausage and fried eggs

topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons of honey
  • 2 tsp. sriracha sauce
  • 4 sesame buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 12 thin rings of red onion
  • 450 g raw pork sausages without casings
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 4 slices of cheddar
  • 4 large eggs

Preparation:

  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, honey, and Sriracha sauce. Spread the sauce on the cut sides of both bun halves. Evenly distribute the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions among the buns. Divide the sausage into 4 equal portions and form them into balls. Place each ball on a separate piece of plastic wrap and flatten into a thin patty 10-12 cm wide.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.
  3. Place a slice of cheddar on each patty, cover the pan, and cook until the cheddar melts, about 30 seconds. Transfer the patties to the bottom buns.
  4. Crack the eggs into the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until the whites are set and crisp around the edges but the yolks are still runny, 2-3 minutes. Place an egg on each patty and top with the bun tops. Serve immediately.
