Ingredients:
Beef
- 600 g sirloin steak, cut into 1 cm cubes.
- 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
- Fresh coriander leaves, for serving
Hot dipping sauce
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- Zest and juice of 1 lime
- 1 tbsp. l. rice vinegar
- 1.5 tsp. sesame oil
- 1.5 tsp sugar
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Preparation:
- Beef:
Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Cook the beef (in batches if necessary, being careful not to overcrowd the pan) on all sides until medium-rare, 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil and set aside to cool.
- Meanwhile, prepare the dipping sauce.:
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, lime zest and juice, vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, red pepper flakes, and some salt and black pepper.
- Thread the beef pieces onto toothpicks (2 pieces each). Sprinkle with cilantro and serve with the sauce.
