Fried corn with bacon and black pepper

Preparation:

Grill the corn:

Remove the husks from the cobs and brush the corn with vegetable oil; season with salt and black pepper. Grill over medium heat, turning occasionally, until lightly charred, 8-10 minutes.

Prepare the topping:

Finely chop 6 slices crispy fried bacon. Toss 4 fried ears of corn with 4 tablespoons of softened butter to coat evenly. Season generously with coarse black pepper and a pinch of salt. Press the bacon onto the ears of corn.
