Cavatelli pasta with roasted broccoli and garlic

Ingredients:

  • 450 g cavatelli pasta, cooked according to package directions
  • 4 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2-3 cups broccoli florets, or to taste
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 1.5 cups canned chicken broth
  • Freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese

Preparation:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat until hot. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, until pale golden. Add the broccoli, salt, and red pepper flakes and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes. Add the chicken broth and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the pasta. Drain the pasta and transfer it to a saucepan. Toss with the sauce. Serve sprinkled with cheese.
