How to Boil Eggs Perfectly

Ingredients:

  • 12 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda

Preparation:

  1. Place the eggs in a large saucepan with a lid. Fill with cold water, covering them completely, and add baking soda. Place the saucepan over high heat and bring to a boil. Once the water boils, turn off the heat and cover the saucepan with a lid.
  2. Let the eggs sit in the hot water until they reach your desired doneness: 3 minutes for soft-boiled eggs; 6 minutes for medium-soft; 12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
  3. Prepare a bowl of ice water. Place the hard-boiled eggs in the ice water to cool them completely before peeling.
