Ingredients:
- 0.5 cups long-grain white rice
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup light cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 175°C.
- In a large saucepan of boiling water, cook the rice for 5 minutes and drain. Rinse the rice under running water and set aside to drain. In a saucepan, combine the milk, cream, vanilla extract, zest, and cinnamon. Bring the mixture to a boil and stir. Turn off the heat and stir in the sugar. Let the mixture cool for 15 minutes.
- Add the rice to the milk mixture and place in a baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Stir the mixture after 45 minutes. Serve the pudding warm.
