Ingredients:
- 45 ml bourbon
- 35 ml simple syrup
- 30 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
- 7 ml of cognac
- 5 fresh mint leaves + a sprig for serving
- A wedge of lime, for serving
Preparation:
- Combine bourbon, simple syrup, lime juice, cognac, and mint leaves in a shaker and smash the mint.
To make simple sugar syrup, heat equal parts sugar and water until the sugar is completely dissolved; cool.
- Add ice cubes and shake vigorously. Taste, then strain over fresh crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wedge.
